Hi, I’m Jordan Green.

For Jordan, pursuing a career in psychiatry was never simply about treating mental illness. It was about helping people live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives while understanding the many factors that influence their ability to do so.

Growing up in Southeast Texas, Jordan saw firsthand how difficult it could be for people in his community to find quality mental health care. With too few mental health providers in the area and a growing need for services, he knew he wanted to be part of the solution. Now based in Houston, Jordan provides online psychiatric care to patients throughout Texas, making mental health services more accessible for all.

Having also experienced depression during his teenage years, Jordan understands how difficult and isolating mental health struggles can feel. These experiences helped shape his desire to become a psychiatric provider who listens without judgment, helps people get the care they need, and works to improve their everyday lives.

Jordan earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lamar University, followed by his Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He later completed his postgraduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner education at the University of Texas at Tyler, bringing together his medical background and longstanding interest in psychiatric care.

“Good psychiatric care isn’t about telling patients how to live their lives. It’s about helping them understand their options, make informed choices, and build a life that feels meaningful to them.”

Jordan’s Philosophy of Care

Jordan believes that successful psychiatric treatment requires more than identifying symptoms and prescribing medication. His approach emphasizes collaboration, respect, and creating a safe, welcoming environment where everyone will feel heard, understood, and empowered.

His Approach is:

  • Collaborative: Patients are active participants in treatment decisions.

  • Holistic: Physical health, mental health, and lifestyle are considered together.

  • LGBTQIA+ Affirming: Inclusive, judgment-free care that respects and affirms patients of all orientations and identities.

  • Evidence-based: Treatment decisions are guided by current research and clinical best practices.
